In Part 1, if you were noticing what you were thinking… What did you discover? (By the way, keep doing it. Make it a practice for yourself. You’ll notice a real difference as you pay attention to your own mind.)
I love to think and I love being curious. It keeps me open, guides me to a greater understanding of things, and challenges my own beliefs about myself, others, and my circumstances.
As I am paying attention to my life, I become so much more aware of where I am, which leads to another favorite question of mine…
Where do I want to be?
Life’s always moving, yes? And so are you.
Where are you going? Where do you want to be?
Here’s another question to consider: “What do I want?”
In this moment, right now, consider it perhaps.
What do you want?
Do you know?
Do you believe you get to decide?
Circumstances are happening all day, but your life is one you’re busy creating, whatever your circumstances are.
It’s pretty cool, right?
Let yourself dream a little.
You’re likely going to get those (icky, not so helpful) thoughts coming at you…
“I can’t.”
“I don’t know how.”
“It’s impossible.”
“I’ve never done it before.”
“It won’t work.”
“People won’t like it.”
“It’s too hard.”
“Someone like me can’t have that.”
“It’s really outside of my reach.”
That’s just your brain trying to “protect” you and keep things seemingly “easier” for you. But keep your eyes on what’s better instead.
Pay attention to the “Critic” over there in the corner. Notice what you’re thinking as you’re asking yourself, “What do I want?”
Be intentional about your own life.
What do you want?
What you’re thinking has everything to do with getting where you want to go.
