Michelle MacGregor, M.A.
Life and Mindset Coach
I am a Life and Mindset Coach, serving individuals and couples, with 25+ years of experience helping others make decisions about their lives and reach their goals: emotional, relational, professional.
My work with clients comes from a belief that as we discover and believe the truth about who we are, and understand the design and purpose for our lives, our experience becomes the life we desire, both personally and professionally.
Whether your need is in an area of your personal life, the context of a relationship, or challenges in your work, working toward being your best self is always going to help get you where you want to be!
Everyone is unique and has something to offer. My joy comes from helping others discover what that is and determine a clear sense of purpose; sometimes for the first time, sometimes to go in a new direction.
A measured life is a life lived by design, on purpose, intentionally. It’s built by those individual moments we create that reflect who we are.
We get to create a standard we choose to live by and measure ourselves against that each time. We can learn to live from that place and be our real selves…everywhere, every time, with everyone. (Say goodbye to people-pleasing, comparison, and insecurity!)
The result is confidence, freedom, fulfillment, and influence in every area of your life and work.
I can help you get there. It IS possible!
A Bit of Background
After completing my B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology and working as a speech therapist in the public school, K-12, I decided to pursue my M.A. in Pastoral Counseling at Columbia International University and learn to care for the hearts of people who are hurting, need hope and healing, and want to move forward in their lives and do great things.
While at CIU, I worked as Director of University Admissions/Recruitment helping undergraduate and graduate students make decisions about their future while developing a strong team of recruiters who used their strengths and skills to excel, both personally and professionally. My experience in higher education was challenging and rewarding and it’s where my love for strategic leadership, talent and team development, and employee engagement, was born.
Why Life & Mindset Coaching? Everyone at some point in their lives wants to make a change; they may feel stuck or want to make a course correction but don’t know how to do it. A good coach can come alongside and challenge, inspire, and offer insight that serves as the tipping point for moving forward, achieving results, and accomplishing goals.
There’s so much available to us! We don’t have to settle for less than.
Helping others create and experience the life they desire is my life’s work.
Why “Measured Lives?”
“Measured Lives” was an idea born in my heart when a former boss wrote on my performance evaluation, “Michelle’s words are measured, which means she thinks before she speaks.”
I liked that because I want to be intentional–with my words and actions.
I want what I say and do to have meaning and purpose and impact. I want my words and actions to come from core convictions of who I am and the reason I do what I do, defining my life, work, and relationships with others.
For fun, I looked up the definition of “measured” and its related words. Here are some of my favorites as I think of them in light of measured living for measured lives:
“having notes of fixed rhythmic value; carefully thought out in advance; unhurried and with care and dignity; discuss the pros and cons of an issue”
“calculated, careful, deliberate, consider, certain, diligent, thorough, conscientious”
Great words.
This caught my attention the most: “regular or uniform, as in movement; to walk with measured strides.”
So then I had to look up “uniform”:
“identical or consistent, as from place to place, or moment to moment; without variations in detail; contstant; unvarying; undeviating”
Yes, great words. (Thank you http://dictionary.reference.com)
May I walk with measured strides, moment to moment, from place to place. And I will if I walk from a place of certainty; knowing who I am and why I do what I do.
The beautiful outcome will be that others will know what to expect because they will know who I am, too. Constant. Unwavering. Consistent.
YOU can too!
It will help you wherever you go, whatever you do, and whoever you’re with. Every time.
Are you ready?
